Lesson 1: The Piano Keyboard
The foundation of Western music theory is the **Musical Alphabet**. Just like the regular alphabet, it uses letters, but it only goes from **A to G** (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) and then repeats!
The easiest way to see this pattern is on a piano keyboard. Notice how the black keys are grouped in sets of **twos** and **threes**? This pattern helps musicians find their way around.
Pro Tip: Finding "C"
The note **C** is always the white key immediately to the *left* of any group of **two black keys**.
